It is no surprise that The only positive reviews of this place come from the owners golfing buddies. If for any reason you can't find another company to do what you need and you go there get a quote beforehand on time and material, check everything yourself. A lot of corners are cut. Steve will not buy the right tooling he needs to use so it takes 3 times a long to machine something and he will not make a fixture to make parts correctly until after an employee has a finger cut off, and then they will expect that employee to be at work the next day and ignore any medical restrictions like nothing has happened. It's like they just want to treat people as poorly as possible

Needed to get a sight base cut down. Those guys did a great job. It was a 100 bucks but good work ain't cheap. They employ hard working amarillo folks that take pride in their work. You might have to wait on your part but it's worth it. Super dave over and out!

Midwest Machine is a highly skilled and caring company. I see reviews saying their work is expensive. While it may seem that way, the work they do is very precise and with expensive precision equipment like the CNC waterjet machine. If you just want a piece of plate burned with a torch and have slag hanging off it, go somewhere else. If you want a finished piece with intricate cuts and tolerances in the thousandths, Midwest Machine can make it happen. As a purchasing professional for almost 30 years, I appreciate being able to do business with locally owned shops with this kind of capability. You get integrity, attention, excellent quality and help your own community. Thanks to Kristi and Steve for always taking care of Amarillo Gear when you were able to.

This place does awesome work. They have a water jet machine that can cut any design you like out of steel, wood, plastic, etc. They have cut out some stuff for me and it was perfect. They also do welding and machining. They are a busy machine shop, so don't expect custom work on demand. The staff is friendly, and will give you an honest quote on anything you need done. I highly recommend these guys!
